Walking South from Cluny and its famous benedictan abbey, in the Maconnais to Fleurie and the Beaujolais. The first morning you will visit the abbey, the next day in Berzé-la-Ville, visit of the XIIth century chapel of the monks of Cluny, with its wonderful frescoes. The Beaujolais and the Maconnais are some of the most picturesque viticole regions of France, full of chateaux and romanesque churches. Here you will taste the white Maconnais wines of Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé and the red appellation Beaujolais wines : Juliénas, Saint-Amour, Chénas, Moulin à Vent, Fleurie, Chiroubles, Morgon ... walking through these villages, you will enjoy the spectacular landscapes and meet the small families who produce all these interesting wines.
